INTRODUCING OUR CLASSIC CAR SAFETY INSPECTION SERVICE

Getting your classic car back on the road after its winter slumber is a great feeling, but did anything deteriorate during its sleep? Is there anything that is going to spoil things or, even worse, turn your dream into a nightmare?
Motest are here to help with introduction of our new Classic car safety inspection. Due to the introduction of the rolling 40 year vehicle M.O.T test and road tax exemption, a lot of classic cars no longer need their yearly M.O.T inspection. As huge classic car enthusiasts ourselves, we want to make sure these older cars are safe to drive and to enjoy for the road ahead.
The cars may be M.O.T test exempt, but they’re not road worthy exempt. In the UK, the responsibility for the roadworthiness of a classic car falls entirely on the owner, so it is important to make sure your vehicle is meeting the legal requirements for road use. This one of the main reasons why we fell our Classic Car inspection is so useful. We can let you know if your car is in good road worthy condition or may need some attention. This is a completely independent test and is in no way affiliated with the DVSA or DVLA.
This is an inspection is for Enthusiasts, by enthusiasts and is not just limited to vehicles over 40 years old either. This is very useful tool for evaluating a classic car, especially if you are buying or selling a vehicle, or setting an agreed value with an insurance company.
We are currently carrying this inspection at our 17 branches across the South East. As you are most likely aware, we a full garage service specialising in repair, servicing and MOT on all makes & models. We also have a Toyota Service Centre at our Farnham branch.
Motest are a family owned company and that family love classics. With many of the staff also owning vehicles over 40 years old, you can see we are passionate about Classic cars and experienced with vehicle inspections.
