The COOLEST Air Con Deals in Town

Standard Air Con Re-Gas £67
What is an Aircon Regas?

An air-con re-gas is the process of removing the old refrigerant gas from your air conditioning system and replacing it with new refrigerant, to maintain the operation and efficiency of the Air conditioning or Climate control systems in your vehicle. It makes sure that your system not only blows hot air but also refreshing cool air for those warmer days.

Standard Air Con Re-Gas £129
How do I know I need one?

If you turn your vehicle air conditioning to low or set your climate control below external temperatures and the air coming out is not as cold as it normally does, an air con re-gas should be the first thing you explore. If you turn on the system and are also greeted by a stale odour, we offer an Air Conditioner anti-bacterial sanitiser which we will run through the Air Conditioning system to eliminate such odours and bacteria.

Air Con Antibacterial Sanitizer
Why use a Sanitiser?

If your Air Con is cold but smells or you or a passenger suffers from respiratory problems, you need to disinfect the system.

Our sanitiser service will eradicate over 90% of thew bacteria present and leave the system smelling clean. We charge just £15 including vat for this service.

What if my Aircon doesn’t work at all?

If your Aircon is not blowing any cold air at all this could mean a fault with your system.

An aircon re-gas can detect major leaks by carrying out a vacuum check on the system and telling you how much, if any, gas was remaining. If the vacuum leak fails the machine will not allow us to put more gas into the system, at this point further investigation would be required to detect the leak location and carry out the appropriate repair. The machine also put a Ultra Violet Dye into the system which allows us to locate any leaks should one be present.

What is the difference between the gases?

R134a has been the industry standard for automotive air conditioning since the 1990s. It’s a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC), a type of synthetic refrigerant that does not contain chlorine. This makes it less harmful to the ozone layer compared to predecessors like R-12.

R1234yf, was introduced in response to environmental concerns over the continued use of HFC-134a. This newer refrigerant is a hydrofluoro olefin (HFO). Perhaps the most significant difference is the environmental impact. R1234yf has a lower GWP (global warming potential) compared to R134a. This means it has a lower potential to contribute to global warming when released into the atmosphere. This refrigerant can only be used in newer vehicles whose air conditioning systems use R1234yf.

According to the Environment Agency, R1234yf is more energy-efficient compared to R134a. This means vehicles using R1234yf as their refrigerant will consume less fuel.

Another thing to note is that R1234yf has a significantly higher cost compared to R134a. This is due to the fact that it is a newer refrigerant, meaning it has not yet been produced on a large scale. R1234yf is also not as widely available as R134a.
